Our vision is to "Creatively make passionate followers of Christ...who will reproduce themselves in their friends, families, and world."
Therefore our youth group is different than a lot of others. While we do have many fun activities and events, and we have a great time at our youth group meetings, our main purpose in all of them is to invest in teens in a way that will help them to grow spiritually. Our youth group meetings are designed to empassion our teens, with the desire that our teens will become excited about their faith and share it with their friends. Most teens who come to Christ do so through the personal relationship they have with another Christian.
This
does not mean that we never do an event that encourages our teens to
bring out their friends who are seeking a church, but we have found
growth has been much more effective if teens share their faith with a
friend, and then invites that friend to youth group to experience the
God that has so revolutionized their life.
