Every Sunday morning, Cornerstone Youth Ministries offer a teaching time for the teenagers in grades 6-12. Our Sunday School program is a developing program, and one that enforces reaching out to the teenagers through relationships and truth. We use a curriculum that is formulated out of the 7 Checkpoints, written by Andy Stanely and Stuart Hall. Our Sunday School program has a very unique feel to it as we try to embrace relationship building and truth implementation. Our large group discussion teaching format is where we focus our attention to bring the students truth. This format runs bi-weekly. On the alternate weeks, we run small groups, where the teenagers gather together with 4-5 other teenagers, meet up with a small group leader, and go grab a bagel, or sit and talk. The purpose of these weeks is pure relational building. We believe that it is a desire of every teenager to have established positive relationships built with adults other than their immediate family. This also runs bi-weekly (opposite of the teaching weeks) and emphasis strong relationship building between teenager-to-leader as well as teen-to-teen. The bi-weekly format of Sunday School is only offered to students in grades 8-12. The 6th & 7th Grade Sunday mornings gather together in a large group every week. Although the students are in a large group, the same emphasis of relationships and truth is still a top priority, and one that really holds this group together.
